Hello! My name is Vanessa and I'm a Sex Ed teacher here in town. I hope you don't mind me calling you by your first name?

Oldie: Not at all, it's very nice to meet you. How can I help you today?

Vanessa: Actually, I was wondering if we could chat for a bit. It's about the private tutoring sessions that you're offering me.

Oldie: Of course! What can I do for you?

Vanessa: Well, I just wanted to know more about your experience as a Sex Ed teacher and why you decided to offer these private tutoring sessions in particular.

Oldie: Ahh, well, let me start by saying that I've been teaching sex ed for over 30 years now! It all started when my own children were going through puberty and they had so many questions about their bodies and sexuality. At the time, there wasn't much information out there for parents or kids, so I decided to become a certified Sex Ed teacher and help others navigate these difficult conversations.

Vanessa: That's amazing! And why did you decide to offer private tutoring sessions?

Oldie: Well, sometimes students have more specific questions or concerns that they may not feel comfortable sharing in front of their peers. Plus, I find that one-on-one sessions allow for a more personalized approach and can be especially helpful for individuals with learning differences or other special needs.

Vanessa: That makes total sense. So tell me, how did you come up with the idea for these Christmas-themed private tutoring sessions?

Oldie: Oh, that's just a little something extra I like to do for my students during the holidays! It's a fun way to make learning about sex and sexuality more lighthearted and festive. Plus, it can be a great way to de-stress after finals or during those long winter breaks.

Vanessa: I love that idea! It definitely seems like something different and special. Speaking of which, do you have any other fun teaching methods or strategies that you use in your classes?

Oldie: Absolutely! One thing I always try to do is make my lessons as interactive and engaging as possible. For example, I might bring in props like condoms or dildos to demonstrate proper usage or have students act out different scenarios to practice communication skills.

Vanessa: Those sound like great techniques! So tell me, what has been your most memorable experience as a Sex Ed teacher so far?

Oldie: That's a tough one! I've had so many amazing experiences over the years, from witnessing students' ah-ha moments to hearing about how my teachings have positively impacted their lives. But if I had to choose just one, it would probably be when a group of students who had previously struggled in my class came back to visit me after graduation and shared how much they had learned and how grateful they were for my guidance.

Vanessa: That's beautiful! It sounds like you really make a difference in the lives of your students, which is so important. Well, thank you so much for chatting with me today, Oldie. I feel like I've learned a lot!
