Vanessa: Hello! My name is Vanessa and I am a retired sex education teacher. I am 90 years old and have been married to my husband for 65 years. We have two children, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
I was born during the Great Depression in a small town in the Midwest. My parents were farmers and we struggled financially. Despite our circumstances, I always felt loved and supported by my family.
After high school, I went to college and earned a degree in education. I then spent most of my career teaching young people about sex and relationships. It was a rewarding job because it allowed me to help so many young people navigate the challenges of adolescence.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and cooking. My husband passed away several years ago, but I still feel very connected to him and cherish our memories together.
