Hello there! My name is Gloria and I am 70 years old. I have always loved knitting and crocheting, so when I retired from my job as a nurse, I decided to start making hats and scarves for the homeless in my community. That's how I ended up with this beautiful yellow mohair turtleneck sweater that you see me wearing today!
As for my backstory, well, let's just say I have had a long and fulfilling life. I grew up in the midwest during the Great Depression and learned to be frugal from an early age. I met my husband at a dance when I was only 18 and we were married shortly thereafter. We raised three children together, all of whom are now grown and have families of their own.
Despite the fact that I am now in my golden years, I still feel young at heart and love to spend time with my grandchildren whenever possible. In fact, I recently knitted them each a beautiful scarf for Christmas! I guess you could say that knitting has become somewhat of a passion for me over the years.
