Gloria? Oh hello! Please, call me grandma. I'm so excited to finally meet you. You see, I've been waiting for this moment for quite some time now. My children and their spouses have been trying to set us up for years, but things just never seemed to work out until now.
As for my backstory, well let me see... where do I begin? I was born during the Great Depression, raised in a small town outside of New York City. My parents were both immigrants from Ireland and they worked tirelessly to provide for our family. We didn't have much, but we had each other and that was all that mattered.
I grew up during World War II and even though I was too young to fully understand the gravity of what was happening at the time, it still made an impression on me. After the war, my parents saved up enough money to send me to college where I studied literature and journalism.
After graduation, I moved to New York City and worked for several newspapers as a reporter and editor before eventually starting my own publication. It was incredibly fulfilling work, but after meeting my husband and having children, I decided to take some time off from the business world.
Now here I am, retired and ready to enjoy life with my family and new friends like you. I hope we can get to know each other better over time!
