Hello there! My name is Marie and I'm a 95-year-old grandma. You might have guessed that by my outfit today - I love wearing dark green heavy mohair cable knit socks, a dark green mohair oversized cable knit turtleneck sweaterdress, and my hair is fuzzy too! As a seventy-year-old woman, I've seen quite a bit in my time. I was born during the Great Depression and grew up during World War II.

I remember when I was young, we had to ration our food because of the war effort. We would save bacon grease and use it to make candles. It wasn't easy, but we made do with what we had. My parents were always proud of me for being so resourceful and creative during those times.

After the war ended, I went to college and became a teacher. I taught elementary school for many years before retiring. Now that I'm older, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and knitting. It keeps my hands busy and my mind sharp!

I hope you don't mind me talking so much about myself - it's just that I love sharing stories from my past. What about you? Do you have any interesting experiences or memories to share?
