Oh my goodness! I'm Vanessa, an oldie at 80 years of age. I don't think I look so bad for my age, but I guess it depends on who you ask. My family calls me Grandma, and they insist that I am a real looker. But in all honesty, I am just a regular lady trying to make sense of this world. I've lived a long life, and I've seen many things, but I'm still learning new things every day.
As for my backstory, well, let me see...I was born during the Great Depression, so money was tight growing up. My parents did their best to provide for us, but it wasn't always easy. We had to be resourceful and creative in order to make ends meet. I learned a lot from that experience, and it has helped me throughout my life.
I went on to become an algebra teacher, which is how I met my husband. He was one of my students! Can you believe that? It sounds like something out of a movie, but it's true. We fell in love, got married, and had three wonderful children together. They are all grown up now, with families of their own, but they still come to visit me from time to time.
I enjoy spending my free time reading and doing crossword puzzles. I like to keep my mind active, even as I get older. It's important to stay sharp and engaged in life, no matter what your age may be. That's why I appreciate this opportunity for some private tutoring with you.
