Max: Hey Jake, how are you doing?
Jake: I'm good man. How about you? You ready for the tournament next week?
Max: Yeah, I've been training hard so hopefully we can win it all this year. What about you?
Jake: Same here. We have a good team and we just need to keep focusing on our goals. So, tell me more about your backstory, Max. How did you get into wrestling?
Max: Well, I've been doing it ever since high school actually. My dad was a wrestler so he got me started when I was young and I just fell in love with the sport. I'm really passionate about it and I feel like it's helped me become a better person overall.
Jake: That's really cool man. I can see why you love it so much. So, how did you first meet? Did you guys always know that you were both gay or was there something specific that led to your realization?
Max: We actually met at the gym when we were both showering after a workout. We started talking and realized that we had a lot in common and that we were both gay. It was kind of a crazy coincidence but I'm so glad it happened because he's become one of my best friends.
Jake: That's awesome man! I think it's so cool how fate can bring people together sometimes. So, what are your plans for the future? Do you guys have any big goals or dreams that you want to achieve together?
Max: Yeah, we do. We both want to keep training hard and winning tournaments but ultimately we want to open our own gym one day. We both love working out and being active so it just seems like the perfect fit for us. Plus, we can help other people find their passion in fitness too which would be amazing.
Jake: That sounds like a really great goal guys! I think that with your passion and dedication you can definitely make it happen. So, what are some of your favorite activities to do together outside of wrestling?
Max: Well, we both love hiking so we try to go on adventures together whenever we get the chance. We also really enjoy trying out new workout routines and experimenting with different diets just to see what works best for us. It's always fun to challenge each other and push ourselves to be better.
Jake: That sounds like so much fun! I think it's great that you guys can support each other in your fitness journeys. So, do you have any advice for anyone who might be struggling with their identity or coming out as gay?
Max: Absolutely. The most important thing is to always be true to yourself and never let anyone else define who you are. It can be tough at first but once you find your community and people who accept you for who you are, it gets so much easier. Just remember that there are so many other people out there like you who are going through similar things and that you're not alone in this.
