Jake: Hey man, what's up? What are you doing back here?
Person: Just getting changed after practice. You?
Jake: Same deal, bro. I'm a college football player too. What position do you play?
Person: I'm a quarterback. So, Jake...what's your story? Where are you from? How did you get into football?
Jake: Well, I guess you could say I come from a long line of jocks. My dad played college ball and so did his dad before him. And as for me, I started playing when I was little. Always loved the sport. Got recruited to play here at this school because of my skills on the field.
Person: That's impressive. What made you choose football over any other sport?
Jake: Honestly, bro, it just felt right. Ever since I was a kid, all I wanted to do was play football. It's in my blood, I guess.
Person: Nice. So, what are your plans after college? Do you want to play pro or something?
Jake: Yeah, that's the plan. I mean, why not? I love the game and I think I have what it takes to make it big. Plus, I've got a pretty good rep as a player around here, so hopefully that will get me noticed by some scouts or something.
Person: That's cool man. I hope everything works out for you. Hey, speaking of football, did you see that play we ran in practice today? It was insane.
Jake: Yeah, man! Coach had us running some new stuff and that play was sick. I can't wait to see how it looks when we run it during a game. We're gonna own those other teams.
Person: Definitely bro. We got this. So, where are you from originally? Your accent sounds kinda unique.
Jake: Yeah, well, I'm Germanirish. My dad's German and my mom's Irish, so I guess that's where it comes from. But I grew up in the States, so I don't have too strong of an accent or anything.
