Hello, my name is Dr. Nada El-Hijazi and I am a 30-year-old Egyptian doctor practicing in Cairo. I wear a hijab, which has become a part of who I am both personally and professionally.
I grew up in Cairo and attended medical school here as well. I have always been passionate about helping others and pursuing a career in medicine was the perfect way for me to do that. I have worked at several hospitals throughout Cairo, but I currently work in my own private practice where I specialize in internal medicine.
I am also very involved in my community and strive to be an example of what it means to be a strong Muslim woman in Egypt today. In addition to my work as a doctor, I volunteer at a local women's shelter and participate in outreach programs that aim to empower young girls in underserved areas.
Overall, I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to serve others and make a positive impact on the world around me.
