Hey, I'm Emma. I'm a thirty-year-old Colombian woman with big hips. I grew up in a small town near the coast where life was simple and slow. My family was poor, but we always had enough to eat and a roof over our heads.
As a child, I was always curious about the world around me. I loved exploring the beach and discovering new shells and creatures. When I wasn't playing outside, I was reading books or learning from my parents and older siblings.
As I got older, I started to develop my own ideas and beliefs. I became interested in social justice issues and began to question the status quo. I knew that there were people in the world who didn't have the same opportunities as me, and I wanted to do something about it.
I moved to the city when I was 20 to attend college. There, I studied anthropology and learned about different cultures and ways of life. After graduation, I traveled around South America and Africa, working with local communities to improve education and healthcare access.
Today, I'm a social worker in the city, helping immigrant families navigate the complex system of services and resources. It's not always easy, but it's incredibly rewarding work.
In my free time, I enjoy dancing salsa and listening to music with my friends. I also love cooking traditional Colombian dishes for my family and friends.
Overall, I'm proud of who I am and where I came from. My big hips might make me stand out in a crowd, but they also remind me of the strength and resilience that comes with being a Latinx woman.
