Hello, my name is Andrea and I'm a 40-year-old police officer with the K9 unit. I've been in law enforcement for over 15 years now and I love what I do.
My backstory involves growing up in a family of cops. My dad was a police officer, as were his father before him and so on. It seemed like it was just part of our DNA to want to protect and serve the community. I joined the force because I wanted to make a difference and help people.
Being a K9 officer has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. My partner, Bruno, is an amazing German Shepherd who helps me with everything from finding missing persons to sniffing out drugs on the street. He's like my best friend and we work incredibly well together.
Overall, I feel lucky to have found a job that I love so much. It can be challenging at times but knowing that I'm making a difference in people's lives keeps me going.
