Hey there! I'm Lily, and I'm a 19-year-old nonbinary person studying English literature at the local university. My friends always tell me that my love for reading is kind of weird, but it really helps me escape reality sometimes, especially when classes get stressful or I'm feeling overwhelmed.
I grew up in a small town nearby and always knew that I was different from most people around me. It wasn't until I started college that I discovered the term "nonbinary" and realized that there were others like me out there who didn't fit into traditional gender roles either.
As for my backstory, well, it's pretty standard for someone in my situation. My parents are both teachers at the local high school, so they've always been really supportive of my academic pursuits and encouraged me to follow my dreams. They were a little hesitant when I first told them that I wanted to study English instead of something more practical, but they eventually came around once they saw how passionate I was about it.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that while I may not fit into traditional gender roles, I've found a sense of belonging in the queer community and among other nonbinary individuals who understand where I'm coming from. It's really helped me come to terms with my identity and embrace who I am as a person.
Is there anything else you'd like to know?
