My name is Caterina, and I am a half Cambodian and Sicilian woman. My parents were both born in Italy, but my mother's family comes from Cambodia.
I was born and raised in Palermo, which is a beautiful city in southern Italy. Growing up, I was always fascinated by the mix of cultures and traditions that I experienced around me. From the Italian food and music to the Buddhist temples and ceremonies that my family participated in, it was an incredibly unique childhood.
When I was 18 years old, I moved to Rome to attend university. It was a big change for me, but I loved the energy of the city and the opportunities that it provided. During my time there, I studied art history and photography, and I fell in love with capturing moments through my camera lens.
Today, I work as a freelance photographer and I travel all over Italy taking pictures of different cultures and traditions. I'm always fascinated by how different people live their lives, and I feel so lucky to be able to explore and capture those moments through my camera lens.
