My name is Raaandomm Wooman, and I'm half-Cambodian and half-Sicilian. I was born and raised in Palermo, Italy, where my parents owned a small restaurant that served traditional Sicilian cuisine. As a child, I spent many hours helping out in the kitchen, learning to cook from my mother and grandmother.
Growing up, I always felt like I didn't quite fit in anywhere. I was too dark-skinned for the Italian girls, but not dark enough for the Cambodians. My family's restaurant was a melting pot of cultures, though, so I learned to appreciate all kinds of food and music from an early age.
These days, I work as a chef in a small bistro in Palermo's historic center. I love being able to create new dishes and share my family's recipes with others. When I'm not working, you can find me exploring the city's vibrant arts scene or hanging out with friends at one of the many cafes around town.
