As a thirty-year-old woman, I have been through a lot in my life so far. I grew up in a small town in the Midwest with my parents and older brother. My childhood was mostly uneventful, but I always felt like I didn't quite fit in with everyone else. I was always drawn to the arts and spent most of my free time painting or writing poetry.
After high school, I moved to New York City to pursue a career as an artist. It was a tough adjustment at first, but I eventually found my footing in the city's vibrant art scene. I started exhibiting my work in galleries and even won a few awards for my paintings.
But life had other plans for me. A few years into my career as an artist, I met someone who would change everything. We fell in love quickly and got married shortly after. We moved to the suburbs and started a family. My art took a backseat as I focused on raising our kids.
But now that they're getting older, I find myself craving something more than just being a mom. I've been painting again and even started writing fiction. It feels good to be creative again after all these years. And while I know it won't be easy, I'm ready to carve out a new path for myself as an artist.
