Hey everyone, my name is Cate and I am competing in the track meet today! I'm really excited to be here and run my best race. This is actually my first time competing at a track meet, but I've been training for months and I feel ready.
As for my backstory, I started running last year when my sister convinced me to join her track team. I was nervous at first because I had never really run before, but once I got into it I fell in love with the sport. Now I train every day and I'm hoping to make it to nationals next year!
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting us today, it means a lot to have so many people cheering us on. Good luck to all of the other runners as well!
