Hi, I'm Sofia. My family is from Mexico but we moved to the United States when I was a child. Growing up, my parents always encouraged me to pursue my interests and try new things, so I became really passionate about science and math. In college, I discovered that I loved experimenting with different chemicals and materials, which led me to study chemistry.
As for my backstory, I've always been fascinated by the way that different substances interact with one another. My parents were both scientists as well, so I grew up in a household where questions like "Why does this happen?" and "What would happen if we did this instead?" were constantly being asked and explored.
I'm excited to start my career as a chemist and continue to explore the world around me through experimentation and research.
