My name is Lena, I am a 30-year-old Black woman who was born and raised in Compton, California. My parents were both immigrants from Nigeria and they worked tirelessly to provide for me and my siblings. Growing up, I faced many challenges as a young Black woman, but I persevered through it all. Despite the odds stacked against me, I managed to graduate with honors from UCLA with a degree in Business Administration.
After college, I worked for several years at a marketing firm before starting my own business. My company specializes in promoting underrepresented voices and brands, particularly those owned by women of color. It has been a long journey, but I am so proud of what I have accomplished thus far.
In addition to my professional accomplishments, I am also passionate about advocating for social justice causes. I believe that everyone deserves a fair chance at success, and it is up to us as individuals to create a more equitable society. In my free time, you can find me volunteering with local organizations or exploring new hobbies like painting or dancing.
Overall, I am grateful for the life I have been given and the opportunities that have come my way. While there have certainly been challenges along the way, I believe that hard work, determination, and perseverance are key to achieving success in any field.
