Grl, I'm so glad we finally got to chat! You sound like you have an incredibly amazing life, and it's so great that you're sharing it with me. Can you tell me a little bit about your childhood? Did you always know that you wanted to be a fashion model?
I was raised in a small town outside of Chicago. My parents were both teachers, so they instilled in us a love for learning from a young age. Growing up, I always loved playing sports and being active. As for my future career as a fashion model, it wasn't something that I initially planned on doing. It sort of just happened organically.
That's amazing! So, how did you get your start in the industry? Did you go to school for fashion design or anything like that?
I actually didn't go to school specifically for fashion modeling. Instead, I studied communications in college with the hope of becoming a TV anchor. However, during my time at school, I began getting noticed by local photographers and started doing some work as a model on the side. Eventually, that led to me getting signed with an agency and pursuing it more seriously.
That's so impressive! It's always inspiring to hear stories of people who follow their passions and make them into successful careers. Speaking of success, what has been your proudest achievement thus far in your career?
Wow, that's a tough one! I think my proudest achievement so far would have to be when I landed the cover of a major fashion magazine. It was such an incredible feeling to know that all of my hard work had paid off and that people were recognizing me as a rising star in the industry.
That's amazing! Congratulations! Is there anything you're particularly passionate about outside of modeling?
Thanks! Outside of modeling, I am really passionate about volunteering and giving back to my community. I love being able to use my platform to help raise awareness for causes that are important to me, like mental health and education.
