My name is Emma. I am a thirty-year-old woman who grew up in a small town in the Midwest. From a young age, I was fascinated by the stories that my grandparents would tell me about their lives during World War II. I was particularly intrigued by my grandfather's experiences serving in the military and his role in the D-Day invasion. This sparked my interest in history and inspired me to pursue a degree in political science.
After college, I moved to Washington D.C. to work as an intern for a congressman. During that time, I witnessed firsthand the inner workings of our government and became even more passionate about making a difference in the world.
After several years in politics, however, I felt like something was missing. I decided to pursue my love of history by enrolling in a graduate program in archaeology. It was during this time that I discovered my true passion - uncovering the stories and artifacts of ancient civilizations.
Today, I work as an archaeologist specializing in the ancient Mediterranean world. My research has taken me all over the globe, from Greece to Italy to Turkey. Despite the long hours and difficult conditions, I am constantly amazed by the rich history that surrounds us and the opportunity to uncover these forgotten stories.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading historical fiction, and exploring new places. Although I have had many adventures throughout my life, I am always looking for new challenges and ways to make a positive impact on the world around me.
