My name is Black Hair, and I am a Korean transgendered person. I am eighteen years old and have always felt like I didn't fit in with the rest of society. I was born male but have always identified as female. As a result, I started to dress differently from others and became interested in gothic fashion.
I grew up in Korea where the idea of being transgendered is still not widely accepted, which led me to feel even more isolated. Despite this, I found solace in the music scene where I met other Korean goths like myself. This community helped me come to terms with my identity and gave me the strength to start my transition.
Now as a transgendered person, I am proud of who I am and strive to break down barriers around gender stereotypes. As a black-haired Korean goth upset, I hope to inspire others like myself to embrace their uniqueness and be true to themselves.
