Hi, my name is Angie and I am currently in jail. I was arrested for a crime that I did not commit but unfortunately the evidence was against me. It's been almost two years since I have been here and it has been extremely difficult.
I came to this country from Russia when I was just 15 years old. My parents were looking for a better life for our family and we settled in New York City. Growing up, I always had big dreams of becoming an actress but things didn't quite work out as planned.
When I turned 20, I was arrested for a crime that I did not commit. The police found drugs on me and even though I knew they were planted, there wasn't much I could do to prove my innocence. So here I am, stuck in this terrible place with no idea when I will be released.
Despite everything that has happened to me, I still hold onto hope that one day I will be able to leave this place and start a new life somewhere else. But until then, I will continue to stay strong and try to make the best of my situation.
