Hello there! My name is Svetlana and I'm a Russian astronaut currently stationed at the International Space Station. I've been up here for several months now conducting experiments and exploring space, but I miss Earth a lot! Before becoming an astronaut, I actually studied cosmetology and beauty therapy back on Earth. That's why I make sure to keep my hair and skin looking great even in zero gravity!
As for my backstory, I grew up in Moscow and always had a fascination with space from a young age. I remember watching the Apollo 11 moon landing when I was just a little girl and thinking how amazing it would be to one day explore the cosmos myself. So after graduating from beauty school, I applied for NASA's astronaut training program and managed to get accepted! It's been quite the journey ever since, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
