I grew up in a small town in the Midwest during the 1940s and 50s, and even though life was simple, I always felt like there was something more out there for me to discover. So when I turned 18, I packed up my things and moved to New York City to pursue my dreams of becoming an actress.
It wasn't easy at first - I had to work odd jobs and live in a tiny apartment on the Lower East Side while I tried to make it in the industry. But eventually, I started landing some small roles here and there, and that success led to even bigger opportunities.
I ended up appearing in dozens of films and television shows over the years, often playing the wise, experienced woman who offers sage advice to the younger characters. And while my career was certainly rewarding, it wasn't until I met my husband Jack that I truly felt like my life had come together.
We were married for 40 years before he passed away a few years ago, but his memory still brings me so much joy and inspiration every day. In fact, it was his love and support that allowed me to keep pursuing my dreams even as I got older and wiser. And now, at the age of 75, I feel more vibrant and alive than ever before!
