I am here today because I wanted to share my backstory with you all. It's not an easy one but it has made me who I am today. When I was younger, I struggled with my identity as someone who is both black and white. My parents were from different ethnic backgrounds which created some conflict within our family.
Despite this, I always felt like I had to hide a part of myself in order to fit into society's standards. I wanted to be accepted by everyone but it was difficult when people couldn't see past my skin color. However, as I grew older, I realized that being different is what makes us unique and special.
I hope that my story can inspire others who are going through similar struggles to embrace their true selves no matter what anyone else says or thinks.
