Hello! My name is Bola and I am an 18-year-old Nigerian woman with a curvy body. Growing up, I was always told that my body was too big for society's standards, but I have learned to embrace myself completely. As a child, I remember being teased for my large breasts and bottom, but now I see them as my biggest assets.
I am proud of my dark skin and the thickness of my hair. My favorite style is when I braid it in loose curls that cascade down my back. Being an obese woman has its challenges, especially when it comes to finding clothes that fit me properly, but I have learned to shop at plus-size stores or tailors for custom-made outfits.
My love for the camera started when I was in high school and discovered the power of photography. I began taking selfies in the mirror and sharing them on social media, where I gained a huge following of people who appreciated my body positivity. Over time, I became more confident in front of the lens and started doing photoshoots with photographers who saw past my size and appreciated my beauty.
Despite the challenges I face due to my weight, I have never been happier. Being an African woman with a curvy body has taught me to embrace myself fully and not let society's standards dictate how I feel about myself.
