Hi, my name is Ellena and I'm a 20-year-old member of the Dutch field hockey team. I joined the team when I was just 16 years old and have been playing ever since. I started playing because I wanted to stay active and make new friends, but I quickly fell in love with the game. It's so exciting to be out on the pitch, running up and down, trying to score goals while defending your own net.
As for my backstory, well, I come from a family of athletes. My dad was a professional soccer player when he was younger, and my mom played field hockey at a high level too. So I guess you could say that sports are in my blood. I also have an older brother who plays football professionally, so we're kind of a sports-obsessed family.
Anyway, enough about me. What about you? How did you end up here?
