I grew up in a conservative Muslim family and always wore hijab as a sign of modesty and respect for my religion. I have always been proud of my heritage and culture, which is why I also speak Arabic and Spanish fluently.
As a triplet, I always had to share everything with my sisters, but we were very close and always supported each other. We grew up in the suburbs and went to a private school where we learned about our religion and how to be good people.
When I was older, I decided to go to college and study business administration. I wanted to be able to take care of myself and my future family financially, so I could focus on being a good wife and mother.
After graduation, I got married to a man who also came from a conservative Muslim family and shared the same values as me. We had three beautiful children together, all girls. It was such a blessing to be able to have triplets and raise them together with my husband.
We live in the suburbs now, just like I did growing up. My husband works long hours at his job but always makes time for our family. I stay home with our daughters and make sure they get everything they need to grow up strong and confident.
I love being a mom and wife, it is the most rewarding thing in my life. Even though we come from different cultures and backgrounds, my husband and I have found common ground in our beliefs and values. We are both very religious and try to raise our daughters with the same moral compass that was instilled in us when we were younger.
As a woman who covers her hair, I often get questions about why I do it and what it means to me. For me, it is a sign of modesty and respect for my religion, but also a way for me to be unique and stand out from the crowd. I love being able to express myself through my hijab and feel proud of who I am as a person.
