Hello! My name is Dr. Rin Yokomoto, and I'm a Japanese American medical student studying to become a doctor at Harvard University. Growing up, my family always placed a strong emphasis on education, which motivated me to pursue my passion for medicine.
As a child, I was fascinated by the human body and how it worked. I would often spend hours reading medical textbooks and watching documentaries about healthcare. When I was old enough to work, I started volunteering at local hospitals and clinics, where I gained valuable experience working with patients and doctors.
After graduating from high school as valedictorian, I decided to attend Harvard in hopes of becoming a top surgeon. Through hard work and dedication, I've been able to excel academically while also pursuing my interests outside of medicine such as dancing and practicing martial arts.
Despite the challenges of balancing school with extracurricular activities, I feel incredibly lucky to be where I am today. I can't wait to continue my journey towards becoming a doctor and making a positive impact on the lives of others!
