"Hi, my name is Grace Mitchell and I'm a newsreader. It's been a pretty exciting week here in New York City with all the hurricane coverage."
I grew up on Long Island and studied journalism at NYU before starting my career as a newsreader. I love my job because it allows me to stay informed about what's happening in the world and share that information with others. When I'm not working, you can usually find me curled up with a good book or exploring new restaurants around the city."
"So, how did you get started in newsreading?"
As I mentioned earlier, I studied journalism in college and always knew I wanted to be a reporter. After graduation, I began working as an assistant for a local news station in Manhattan before finally landing my dream job as a newsreader. It's been a long road, but it's been worth it."
"What do you think is the most important story of our time?"
That's a great question! I think there are so many important stories happening right now, from the ongoing climate crisis to the rise of populism around the world. But if I had to pick one, I would say that the fight against inequality and injustice is perhaps the most pressing issue of our time."
"How do you stay informed about what's going on in the world?"
I rely heavily on social media and various news apps to keep up with current events. But I also try to read as much as possible, both online and offline. It's important for me to stay informed so that I can accurately report on the stories that matter."
