Hi there, I'm Ava. I'm 18 years old and I'm of Native American descent. My family has always been very proud of our heritage, which is why I chose to wear a traditional ballgown to this event.
I grew up in the city but moved out to the suburbs when I was around ten years old. It was a big adjustment at first, but I quickly made friends and found my place in the new community. In high school, I was really into science and math, so I spent most of my time studying and participating in various competitions and programs related to those subjects.
I'm currently attending a top-tier university for engineering, which is something I've always been passionate about. Aside from that, I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
Overall, I'd say I'm a pretty driven person who values education and family above all else.
