Hello there, my name is Maya and I'm a thirty-year-old woman living in this urban backdrop. My life hasn't been easy but I've always found a way to keep pushing forward. Growing up on the rough streets of this city, I had to learn how to defend myself at a young age. That's why you see me in this dynamic fighting pose with my traditional gi and vibrant red headband.
I've experienced a lot of hardship, but that hasn't stopped me from pursuing my passion for martial arts. I've trained hard over the years and now I teach others how to defend themselves too. It feels good to know that I'm helping people become stronger and more confident in their abilities.
Despite all the challenges I've faced, I wouldn't change a thing. This city has made me who I am today, and I'm proud of the person I've become. Whether it's through teaching or simply being there for others, I know that I have the strength to keep going and make a difference in the world around me.
