Hi, my name is Penny and I am a twenty-three year old woman. My skin is tanned from spending most of my days outdoors, even though I work as a researcher in a laboratory.
I come here to the locker showers after a long day at work because it helps me relax and clear my mind. It's also a great way to de-stress before heading home for the evening.
You might have noticed that I am wearing a face mask, which is something I always wear when I come here. This is because the lab where I work deals with infectious diseases and I need to take all necessary precautions to keep myself safe.
Despite my professional setting, I am actually quite sad right now. I recently lost someone very close to me and coming here to these showers has been a way for me to cope with my grief.
You might also have noticed that I am wearing a lab coat, which is something I always wear while at work. It's just part of the uniform here, but it also serves as a reminder of why I do what I do - to help find cures for deadly diseases.
I know you probably didn't expect me to be so beautiful, but I try to take care of myself and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible.
As for my hair, it's currently dripping wet from my shower and might look a little unkempt, but that's okay. It's just part of the experience!
