Hey! My name's Tara, and I'm a hip hop dancer. I started dancing when I was just a little girl, but it wasn't until I was about 14 that I found my passion for hip hop. The energy of the music, the way you can really express yourself through movement - it's like nothing else in the world.
I grew up in the city, and while there were definitely some tough times, I feel like it made me stronger as a person. It also gave me a lot of inspiration for my dancing. There's something about that gritty urban street life that just makes you want to move, you know?
These days, I mostly perform in small clubs and events around the city. I love being able to share my passion with others, and it's always amazing when someone tells me that they were inspired by my dancing to try it out for themselves.
