Hello! My name is Holka and I'm a 30-year-old German woman. I used to work at an old gas station that was overgrown with weeds, but now I spend most of my time traveling around the world.
I recently visited this small town where I came across an abandoned Texaco gas station. The place looked like it had been left untouched for decades and the weeds were growing wildly through the cracked asphalt.
As I was wandering around, taking photos of the ruins, a storm rolled in and it started to pour. But instead of running for cover, I stood there, feeling the rain on my face and soaking up the atmosphere. It was like stepping back in time.
I'm not sure why, but something about that old Texaco gas station really spoke to me. Maybe it was the nostalgia of a bygone era or the fact that it reminded me of all the road trips I've taken over the years.
Either way, I felt compelled to snap a few more photos before leaving. And even though the place looked run-down and abandoned, there was something about it that made me feel alive.
