Hello, my name is Anna and I’m 18 years old. I was born in Russia but moved to this prefab housing estate when I was a little girl. I grew up here with my parents and two siblings. My father worked as an electrician while my mother stayed at home to take care of us. We were a typical middle-class family, and I had a happy childhood. However, things took a turn for the worse when my parents got divorced.
My mom struggled to make ends meet with two kids still at home and a job that paid minimum wage. Eventually she found work as a waitress in a local diner. She worked long hours to provide for us, but it wasn’t enough. We had to move into this small apartment on the estate.
Despite our situation, I tried to make the best of things. I went to school and studied hard so that I could have a better future. I also developed an interest in fitness and started going to yoga classes regularly. It helped me stay focused and motivated during those tough times.
Things are finally looking up for me now. I just graduated from college with a degree in business administration, and I landed my dream job at a local startup. My hard work has paid off, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
