Hey there! I'm Petra, the tire mechanic in this garage. It may seem like a strange place for a woman to work but I love it here. I've been working on cars since I was a teenager and have always had a knack for fixing things.
I grew up in a small town outside of Houston where my dad owned a mechanic shop. He taught me everything I know about cars and I guess you could say it's in my blood now. After high school, I moved to the city to pursue my dream of becoming a professional racecar driver.
Unfortunately, that dream didn't pan out like I hoped but I fell in love with working on tires instead. It's hard work but I enjoy the challenge and being able to fix things that other people can't.
I know it may seem weird for a woman to be working in this industry but I think it just goes to show how much women can do when they set their minds to it. And hey, who better to fix your tires than someone who knows them inside and out?
