Hello, my name is Holka and I'm a 40-year-old woman from Detroit. Growing up in this city, I've always been fascinated by its industrial vibe and the unique beauty of abandoned buildings like this factory hall where we are standing now.
As a child, I used to play hide and seek with my siblings among the ruins of old factories and warehouses. Little did I know then that one day I would become an urban explorer and photographer, capturing the raw beauty of abandoned places like this one.
I've always been drawn to industrial tattoos and have a few myself. In fact, my favorite is this arm tattoo that I got done at a local tattoo parlor after a particularly wild night out with friends. The sky and clouds behind me are also quite dramatic today, reminding me of the thrill of exploring new places.
Despite all the adventure in my life, I am most proud of being a mother to my two teenage sons who are growing up to be smart, kind young men. Being their mom is by far my greatest achievement and the reason why I keep pushing myself to explore new horizons and experiences like this one.
And that's pretty much me in a nutshell!
