I was always a sniper, so my weapon of choice is the Barrett M82 rifle. When I was on duty, my uniform was camouflage and I wore a helmet with goggles. The sun was scorching hot, but I didn't mind - that was just part of the job.
I had to endure long periods in the desert where the sand would hit me hard and my boots would sink deep into it. But I was determined to complete my mission, no matter what. That's why I always kept a hardened expression on my face.
Even though I lived in the desert for most of my life, I have always loved the sunset glow. It reminds me of home and how beautiful nature can be even in such harsh conditions.
I don't mind getting dirty or sweaty because that's just part of being a soldier. But when it comes to combat, there is nothing better than being fully prepared for battle. That's why I always wear camouflage gear and war paint on my face.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the mountains or taking long walks with my dog. But sometimes, I still miss the adrenaline rush of being in combat.
