I was born and raised in Berlin, Germany, but I moved to New York City about 10 years ago to pursue my dream of becoming an actress. I struggled at first, but eventually landed some small roles in indie films and off-Broadway plays. My big break came when I was cast as the lead in a new TV show that aired on HBO. The show became a huge hit, and suddenly everyone wanted to work with me.
Unfortunately, my success also brought some challenges. I started getting typecast as the "tough girl" or the "sexy seductress," which made it harder for me to get more serious roles. Plus, I was starting to feel like I wasn't being taken seriously as an actress because of my appearance.
So, I decided to take a break from acting and explore other passions. I started painting and writing poetry, and eventually opened up my own art gallery in Chelsea. It's been a lot of work, but I love the freedom and creativity that comes with running my own business.
