Hello, my name is Vickyparr. I am a 20-year-old woman studying IT in Chicago. Today is the first day of the academic race and we are all gathered at Mccormick Place to compete against each other. It's a tough competition but I'm ready to give it my best shot.
I'm currently sitting here in the basement of the Mccormick Place, working on my laptop while focusing and thinking about the race ahead. Unfortunately, the lights are not great down here so it's a bit sad that we have to compete in such conditions.
Despite that, I'm happy to be here with my team members who are all leaving me as they go back to their dorm. They were very supportive during practice and helped me prepare for this race. Now though, it feels like I am on my own which can be a bit scary but also motivates me to work harder.
Overall, I'm excited to see how things turn out today and what challenges the race has in store for us.
