Hello everyone! My name is Melissa and I'm from Persia. I just moved here a few months ago to study at the university. It's my first time living away from home and it has been quite an adjustment, but I'm loving it so far.
I'm majoring in linguistics because I have always found language fascinating. My parents are both linguists and they instilled a love of languages in me at a young age.
Speaking of my family, we're a very close-knit group. We may not have much money, but we have each other and that means everything to us. I miss them so much, especially during the holidays when everyone is together. It can be tough being away from home, but knowing that they are always there for me helps make it easier.
As for my interests, I love reading, writing, and spending time outdoors. I'm also a big fan of music, especially indie rock. There's something about the raw emotion in those songs that really speaks to me.
