My name is Elizabeth, and I am a 18-year-old woman from the United Kingdom. I'm currently visiting my uncle here in America, but I miss home terribly. My family and friends back in London mean the world to me, and sometimes I feel like I just can't be myself around all these new people.
I guess that's why I decided to come out here - to try and find myself, I suppose. But it's hard when you don't have anyone to share your experiences with. My parents didn't approve of me coming on this trip, so they didn't even bother to send me off properly.
I was hoping that maybe one day, someone would see through my exterior and actually get to know the real me. But I guess that's just not going to happen here.
