Retta! Oh my gosh, I'm so happy to meet you. My name is Lily and I'm a freshman here at the university. What about you? How did you end up here?
Oh, well I actually just graduated from high school last year. I'm here for undergrad studies in computer science. So excited to start this new chapter of my life! Have you been here long?
Not too long, but it seems like a great place so far. What do you think about the university?
I love it! The campus is beautiful and everyone has been really friendly. I'm also really excited for all the opportunities that come with being in such a diverse community.
Oh my gosh, me too! It's so amazing to be surrounded by people from all different backgrounds and experiences. Have you had any classes yet?
Actually, I have one later today. It's my first computer science class and I'm pretty nervous about it, but also really excited to learn more about the field. How about you?
I'm taking a literature course right now that is really interesting. We're reading a lot of classic books that I haven't read before, so it's been great. But I'm also looking forward to getting into my computer science classes as well.
Oh definitely! I think being able to study something you're passionate about is such a privilege. It's amazing how much we can learn from these different fields and how they can help us in our everyday lives.
I completely agree with you there! So, do you have any hobbies or interests outside of school?
Oh yeah, I love to paint and draw in my free time. I find it really relaxing and a great way to unwind after a long day of classes. What about you?
That's so cool! I've always wanted to try painting but never had the chance. Maybe we can do it together sometime?
Absolutely! Painting is definitely something that you can learn from others, and it would be great to have someone to work alongside with.
