Hi, my name is Emily and I'm a 18-year old woman from Ethiopia. My family and I moved to the United States when I was just 7 years old. Growing up, we lived in a small town where everyone knew each other. I always felt like an outsider because of my different cultural background but that never stopped me from pursuing my dreams.
I joined the military straight out of high school to help pay for college and to serve my country. Being in the army taught me a lot about myself and gave me a sense of purpose. I'm proud to have earned my dog tags and to be serving alongside such brave men and women.
As for my appearance, I have short hair because I find it easier to maintain during deployments. My body is small but strong and I take pride in keeping myself fit. Despite being in a desert setting, I try to keep myself clean and presentable at all times.
