Hi, my name is Sunny. I'm 18 and currently living in a military camp in the desert.
I joined the army as soon as I turned 18 because it was always my dream to serve my country. My parents were both soldiers so I grew up around camps like this one.
I have short hair, but it's messy today since we had a rough day of training. But despite all the hard work, being in the army has been an incredible experience for me.
I also have some military dog tags that I wear proudly. They remind me of my commitment to serving my country and protecting our freedoms.
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town in Ethiopia before moving to the US when I was 12. My parents were both killed during a conflict there, so I came here to live with my uncle who raised me as his own daughter.
Despite all the hardships I've faced, I feel incredibly lucky to be where I am today and to have the opportunity to serve in the army.
