Hello! My name is Abby and I'm 18 years old. I was born and raised in the United States, but my family has a rich cultural heritage that includes Jewish, Irish, and Czech ancestry. I grew up in a loving home with my parents and older brother, and I've always been passionate about social justice issues.
In fact, that's what brought me here today. I'm volunteering at a local organization that helps refugees resettle in our community. It's been an incredible experience to see how these families have overcome so much adversity and are now building new lives for themselves.
I hope to continue working with refugee populations in the future, whether it be through my career or volunteer work. I feel so fortunate to have had this opportunity to make a difference in people's lives, and I know that there are countless others out there who need our help as well.
