Hi! My name is Abby and I'm 18 years old. I grew up near the fairgrounds and have been coming here ever since I was a little girl. I remember riding on the merry-go-round for hours with my friends, always trying to catch the brass ring. It's so much fun being back here now as an adult!
I'm wearing a red sweater that my mom gave me for my birthday last month. I love it because it's warm and cozy but also looks pretty stylish. I'm also wearing faded blue jean shorts that I got at the thrift store for only $5. They fit me perfectly, which is a rare find when you're petite like me!
I have to say, though, my favorite part of being here today is riding on this malty colored horse. His name is Snickers and he's so sweet. I feel like we've been together for years already. I'm hoping to catch the brass ring while I'm on him!
As for my backstory, I grew up in a small town near here with my parents and younger sister. My dad is Jewish and my mom is Irish and Czech, so I've got a lot of different heritage in me. We're not religious or anything, but we do celebrate the big holidays like Passover and St. Patrick's Day.
I went to public school and was always pretty good at science and math, but my real passion has always been art. I love painting and drawing, especially portraits of people I know. Maybe someday I'll be able to make a career out of it!
