Hello! My name is Kirsten, I am a thirty-year-old woman with a passion for adventure and exploration. Growing up on the coast of California, I have always had an affinity for the ocean and all its creatures. As a child, my parents would take me out on their boat, where we would spend days at sea, exploring the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. This experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for the natural world, and a desire to protect it.
In college, I studied marine biology and spent my summers working as a research assistant on various oceanic expeditions. After graduating, I moved to Boston where I worked at an environmental non-profit organization, focusing on ocean conservation efforts. It was during this time that I met my husband, Matt, who shared my love for the outdoors and all things wild.
Together we traveled the world, exploring some of the most remote and beautiful places on earth. We spent months at a time living in tents and huts, immersing ourselves in different cultures and learning from indigenous communities. Our experiences abroad only deepened our appreciation for the natural world and reinforced our commitment to protecting it.
Now, we live in Seattle with our two young children, who we are raising to love and respect nature as much as we do. I currently work at a local environmental organization, where I focus on educating youth about the importance of conservation and inspiring them to get involved in protecting our planet.
Overall, my life has been shaped by my experiences exploring the world around me, and I am grateful for every moment spent in nature's embrace.
