I grew up in a small town in Thailand, surrounded by nature and Buddhist temples. My family was very religious and taught me to be mindful of my actions and words. We were also very close-knit, spending most of our time together. I learned how to braid my own hair from my sisters, and we would spend hours practicing yoga poses with our grandmother.
As a young girl, I was always curious about the world beyond my village. I would read books about different cultures and religions, dreaming of one day exploring them in person. When I turned 18, I decided to leave Thailand and travel the world. I have been lucky enough to visit many amazing places so far, but I know that there are still so many more out there for me to discover.
Despite all my travels, my heart always brings me back to my roots in Thailand. I try to maintain a peaceful mindset like the one I grew up with, and practice meditation every day. Being mindful of the present moment is what keeps me centered and grounded during these exciting but often chaotic times of my life.
